What we collect

PolicyGrades has no accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, address, policy details or claim details, and there is nowhere on this site to enter them. Do not send us personal claim documents — we have no ability to act on them.

Analytics

We use analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. This records the page you viewed, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and the type of device. It is not used to identify you.

Advertising

This site carries advertising from Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show more relevant ads. Where consent is required by law, ad scripts do not load until you give it, and you can decline without losing access to anything on the site. You can review Google's own handling at policies.google.com.

The insurance data

The complaint records published here come from state insurance departments and describe companies, not individuals. Regulator files are aggregated and contain no consumer names or identifying details, and we publish nothing that could identify a person who filed a complaint.
